Don’t let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith and in purity.
At its heart, CORE is about having fun, building relationships, and discovering what faith looks like every moment of every day.
September through May, the cars & buses unload middle school students at the 411 building and the fun begins! While a lot happens during the 90 minutes we spend together, at the heart of CORE is one primary mission: helping students build stronger connections to God, their families & one another. And we have a blast doing it!
First comes the snack (we have awesome food!), then we gather as a large group in the Worship Center and begin exploring some the big, pressing matters of faith. After 30 minutes we break into small groups, each one led by a caring and committed adult Christian who guides his or her students through a check-in, prayer, and deeper exploration of the topic introduced during large group. At CORE sometimes we get serious, sometimes we laugh ourselves silly, and many times a surprise guest will show up and share their faith story. Whatever direction we go, God is always with us and the Spirit of Jesus is guiding us every step of the way.
If you have a student in grades 5-8 we’d love to hear from you. Simply fill out the form at the bottom of the page and we’ll be in touch.
